Oreo Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies

I set out on a little baking experiment last night and shared it with the twitter world.  Man…I have never had such a large response from a tweet in my life.

Anyway, this recipe is absolutely to die for…so I must share it with the world…or at least to those who visit this website ;)

Without further ado…

Oreo Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies

*I found the recipe here!

  • 2 sticks softened butter
  • 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 10 oz bag chocolate chips
  • 1 pkg. Oreo cookies

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Cream butter and sugars together with a mixer until well combined.  Beat in eggs and vanilla.

In a separate bowl, mix the flour, salt and baking soda.  Slowly add to wet ingredients along with chocolate chips until just combined.  Using a cookie scoop, take one scoop of cookie dough and place on top of an Oreo cookie.  Take another scoop of dough and place on the bottom of the Oreo cookie.  Press and cup in hand to form a ball, and seal the edges together, so the Oreo is completely covered.  Place onto a foil lined baking sheet and bake cookies for 9-13 minutes.  Let cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.

Makes about 2 dozen VERY LARGE cookies!

These sound amazing Molly!!!! Thanks for passing along. I needed a good dessert for a party for Saturday and these just might be perfect!! I love your blog. I have become addicted. Also, Molly let us know how the round brush goes! I too have the same issue, though my friend gave me a trick, very large velcro rollers after you blow dry….Took practice but they work.

You cannot go wrong with one of Jenny’s recipes. She made a soup with pasta sauce, sausage and cream (read:easy!!) like 2 years ago and it is STILL in heavy rotation with my boys.

  5. I saw your tweet about these. My little 2 year old, Lauren, will LOVE these cookies. Thanks for posting.
